Editor's review
If you have been experiencing difficulties in managing your multimedia collection of the numerous DVDs that you have written, chances are that you will fall in love with ReportCD. This exceptional utility not only manages all your DVD, CD collection but also allows you to access content that you have catalogued without even inserting your discs. With host of rather interesting features the software is expected to hold attention of any one who likes to play along with multimedia files.
The software has a relatively small file size (near 10mb) for its class of software. The installation process is smooth and initial launch screen has clear navigation controls. The workspace area is also well structured. The software is quite easy to use with most commands neatly placed under respective tabs on the menu bar. The Action tab contains primary commands for cataloguing. You can use the search feature to find information from existing catalogue projects or archives. Some of its standard feature includes the ability to download movies with detailed Meta information. Next it also evidently provides multi language support. The variety of format supported by ReportCD is quite extensive to say the least. From Divx to Mp3 format; you name it and ReportCD has inbuilt support for it. Even compressed file formats like .zip and .rar are allowed into the catalogues. It also has neat importing features. For example if you wish to import a series of thumbnails and place them into a catalogue then ReportCD will allow for a seamless insertion. With the XML support provided by the software, there is not much that you can expect from it. Now with XML transposing the collection on websites also becomes a piece of cake. Overall the software does a great job of managing your multimedia collection and a must have utility for professionals.
